The girl introducing it sounds like she's reading that for the first time ever, and the background music is very off-putting...

10 minutes in, and it's nothing but the presenter bigging himself up, cutting to adverts for the blog regularly. Dude, really, make this more concise!

Right, fast forwarding past the first 30 minutes of fluff, we reach the point where you say that you shouldn't 'waste' your time on atheists that want actual evidence.

So, the message seems to be 'go for the soft targets, because some people don't believe and will never believe'.

Jim does make a good point, theists need to stop presenting personalities online that make atheists think they're all douchebags. Sadly several of the regular posters and repliers on here present just that kind of personality, the crowing, aggressive douche personality. I'm not going to name names, but it's clear who these people are.

Anyway, the podcast....disappointing Jim, presented nothing of interest, and please, get rid of those 'breaks'

Last things first, I really liked the letter and your discussion of it (God, suffering and Japan).

Also, something you brought up is something that I have been learning about just recently, asking, "What kind of evidence are you looking for?" I have learned to move on, as some atheists are only interested in strife instead of discussion (as Matt Slick of CARM can also attest, some people take delight in wasting your time). When I have had honest inquiries, I have spent a great deal of time. After it becomes rehashing or arguing in circles, it's time to move on. Also, if someone is aggressive and rude, giving me serious doubts about their sincerity, I move on and let them be Stewie Griffins ("Victory is mine!")

Good talk, Jim.

An interview with MSNBC's Martin Bashir regarding his theoogical position and more insight into his interview with Rob Bell for those that are interested.
